Collected Works Bookstore is proud to present New Mexico State Representative Bill O'Neill and local author W.J. Mulligan for a reading of their poetry.

Bill O'Neill has devoted his life to public service, particularly in the field of parolee rehabilitation.  The Albuquerque resident was elected to the New Mexico House of Representatives in 2008, where he has worked to pass bills on public safety, ethics reform, and identity theft.  He supplements his work as a public servant with his life as a poet, sharing his work at various readings throughout the state.

W.J. Mulligan is the former Medical Director of the Navajo Nation Health Foundation, the United States' only health system run by Native Americans.  He is the author of the poetry collections The Short and Simple Annals of the Poor, Poems From the On Call Room, and Hidden Tears, Secret Smiles.
